As far as I know, nearly all the men on both sides of my family have, in some capacity, produced their own furniture. My inheritance is not just a fortuitous gain of woodworking equipment, but also the know-how to build my own stuff, like beds, tables, bookshelves and other things.

Stuff I Did:
Carpentry
Custom bookshelf + liquor cabinet combo. It’s 7ft. long, and holds just the right number of bottles. It locks with a vintage brass pad lock, and for extra protection, the carved face of a wise owl guards its contents day and night.
Turns out it's pretty tricky to find a well-crafted medieval-style beer stein featuring my wife's spirit animal, the fox, so I had to just go and make one for her. Made of poplar and sealed with brewer's pitch (distilled pine sap).
Holds 16oz of stout nicely.
Googie-style coffee table with built-in easel. Made on commission for a girl who wanted to maximize her eating and arting simultaneously. The solution was obvious.
